DevOps Architect

Youâll partner with Gearsetâs most strategic customers, helping them adopt DevOps practices to get the most out of their Salesforce investment. This is a hands-on, technical role where youâll guide customers from the moment they join Gearset to becoming confident, successful users driving DevOps within their Salesforce teams.

Whatâs the opportunity for a DevOps Architect at Gearset?

As a DevOps Architect, youâll work closely with customers to understand their goals for adopting Gearset, learn how their teams work, and provide expert guidance to help them achieve success.

Youâll need a solid understanding of how great software is built â whether itâs agile collaboration techniques, source control strategies, or continuous integration models.

Youâll collaborate with a cross-functional team of developers, salespeople, and marketers, combining your technical expertise with commercial insight to make a real impact for customers.

What you'll achieve

Own and deliver measurable outcomes for Gearsetâs strategic customers by driving adoption, solving technical challenges, and ensuring successful implementation of Salesforce DevOps practices.

Be a technical champion for Gearsetâs strategic customers, tackling the most complex challenges in Salesforce DevOps and drawing on your deep knowledge of the platform to provide thought leadership and technical excellence which results in effective adoption of our product

Work closely with customers, owning the technical relationship as you transition them from implementation to ongoing platform usage.

Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, staying up to date on the ever-evolving state of Salesforce DevOps and Gearset

Lead discussions with new and long-term customers, addressing technical challenges, exploring aspirations, and providing guidance on how to achieve their goals using the platform

Be a customer champion, ensuring their views are represented in the company and driving continual improvement in user satisfaction.

Success in this role means measurable improvements in customer satisfaction, increased feature adoption, enhanced user engagement, and the ability to proactively address challenges to deliver tangible outcomes for the customer.

Work closely with our product team to suggest features and quality-of-life improvements, drawing on customer feedback and insights gained from direct collaboration with users

About you

Practical knowledge of Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) architecture, tools and workflows

Expertise in either DevOps practices (e.g., CI/CD, infrastructure as code, version control workflows) or Salesforce development and deployment methodologies

A technical predisposition with a desire to learn, and the ability to convey complex technical topics with simplicity

The ability to build effective long-term relationships with customers, supporting them throughout their life cycle with Gearset

Experience working with large or complex technical teams and developing outcome-oriented implementation plans to meet customerâs goals

A proven ability to influence customer behaviour, drive action, and help organisations adopt new practices to achieve meaningful outcomes

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a keen eye for detail

Great to haves

Experience working in a B2B SaaS company

Experience with working with GSIâs/SIâs

A practical knowledge of the Salesforce platform, either as an advanced admin, developer or architect

Salary and benefits (the stuff youâd expect!)

Salary Â£100k - Â£135k, depending on experience

This is a full time opportunity, working Monday to Friday with the option of flexible home working (for most of us that looks like 2-3 days a month in the office)
