Purpose and Job Summary
The Transaction Closing Associate I will assist with facilitating and processing the closing of post-closing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac multifamily transaction requests within LUMENT. Specifically, the candidate's primary responsibility is to: 1) be proficient with the pre-closing requirements for loan assumptions and transfers of interest requests; 2) own and manage the closing and post-closing responsibilities associated with assumption and transfer of interest transactions; 3) manage the front-end portion of the transactions independently, relaying appropriate information in a timely manner. This role can be located in Dallas, Kansas City, Columbus or Remote and will report directly to the Associate Director of the Transactions Closing team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
 Successfully performs all Analyst required functions
 Closes most assumptions and all transfers of interest unassisted
 Follows up on all steps of the transaction processes with all parties internally and externally independently
 Has a full working knowledge of all assigned deals and manages workload successfully
 Volunteers and delivers on special projects
 Suggests updates to the processes and procedures to effectuate further efficiencies
 Anticipates and acts on future needs of the client and deal team
 Proficiently navigates the PSA/SSAs, Purchase and Sale Agreements, Agency Loan documents
 Ability to use multiple systems across multiple platforms
 Works professionally and harmoniously with team members and coworkers across other Lument teams
 Minimal Travel Required
 Other projects and duties as assigned
Contacts
This position has frequent contact with all levels of employees and management. In addition, this role may interact with outside business partners, vendors, consultants, and other office visitors.
Education, Skills & Experience
Required
 Bachelor's Degree
 1 - 3 years of experience
 1+ year of experience in Commercial Real Estate industry required
 Moderate knowledge and understanding of Commercial Real Estate core business functions and the life of a loan
 Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to manage multiple assignments and transactions simultaneously
 Creative and effective problem-solving skills; takes initiative when solving problems and completing tasks
 Ability to effectively communicate to multiple audiences and levels, both internal and external
 Consistently exhibits strong behaviors that align with the Loan Servicing and Asset Management core values and mission
 Invested in self-growth as it relates to the role specific and industry knowledge
 Moderate knowledge of Agency requirements (pertaining to transactions), systems and required applications
 Moderate understanding of most loan documents
 Positive team-first attitude by embracing evolution of department
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office and some of the other systems as noted below in the preferred section are a plus
 Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
 Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments, and to meet critical and established deadlines; Ability to manage multiple assignments and transactions simultaneously
 Demonstrate ability to maintain confidentiality and to use discretion in the performance of daily activities
 Professional business image and excellent command of the English language, both verbally and in writing (spelling, grammar, and punctuation)
 Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team
 Flexibility and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and constant interruptions; Ability to adjust priorities in a changing environment
Preferred
 1+ year of CRE Experience
 Proficient knowledge of relevant Servicing System application modules (McCracken - Strategy), Asset Management platform (RAMP/Polaris), Document Management System (Midas/Lument Docs), pertinent Agency systems, WorkIT, PowerBI
