Overview

The insurance verification specialist is a subject matter expert on dental insurance plans and benefits; responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage to ensure necessary procedures are covered by an individual’s insurance plan.

In Short

• Retrieve insurance breakdown information prior to patient appointments.
• Ensure accurate data entry into Open Dental of the insurance plan information.
• Coordinate with the practice, the third party vendor and the RCM team.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 - 5 years of experience working with insurance companies and extensive knowledge of different types of coverage and policies.
• Computer, telephone, internet, Virtual fax machine.
