What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
• Tutor and supervise special education students in various settings, including resource rooms and regular classrooms
• Maintain anecdotal records of student progress and report findings to the special education teacher
• Assist in administering academic tests and maintaining reinforcement activities for students
• Participate in individual education program meetings as required
• Accept additional duties assigned by the district as needed

What Is Required (Qualifications)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Strong organizational skills and ability to retain confidential information
• Personable, friendly demeanor with good attendance
• Supportive of district programs and punctuality

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
• Experience working with children in an educational setting
• Completion of two years of college coursework or ability to pass the paraprofessional test
